Our Story

Started in Metcalfe.
Built for Ottawa.

Dumped and Done was founded by Andrew and Ethan — two recent graduates of Osgoode Township High School who turned a hands-on idea into a real, growing business. What started as a simple conversation became a company their community is proud of.

Their entrepreneurial drive earned them the Vernon Women's Institute Award for Entrepreneurship — a meaningful community recognition for young people who show initiative and commitment to building something local.

Come September 2026, Andrew and Ethan will take their skills even further, enrolling in the Business and Entrepreneurship program at Algonquin College. In the meantime, they're loading trailers, building a reputation, and proving that Ottawa's best junk removal doesn't need to come from a 1-800 number.

What goes into your quote

A quick video or a few photos tells us load size, material types, and how much space it'll take. Faster and more accurate than a description alone.

Load Size

We price by how much space your items take in the trailer — quarter, half, or full load. Bigger jobs offer better value per item.

Type of Material

Scrap metal may reduce cost in some cases. Items requiring special handling — paint, batteries, eco-waste — may carry small disposal fees.

Access Difficulty

Ground floor is easiest. Basements, narrow stairwells, or tight hallways take more labour and may adjust the final price.

Weight of Items

Heavy materials like concrete or dense debris increase dump fees. We factor this in upfront so there are no day-of surprises.

Travel Distance

Ottawa and nearby areas are priced at our standard rate. Jobs further out may carry a small fuel and time adjustment.

We're based in Metcalfe (Osgoode Township) and serve Ottawa and the surrounding area — including Barrhaven, Kanata, Orleans, Nepean, Gloucester, Manotick, Greely, Kemptville, Winchester, Rockland, Carleton Place, Smiths Falls, Prescott, Brockville, and more. Jobs further from our base may include a small travel fee — just ask when you request a quote.
We can take most household and renovation items. Some hazardous materials — asbestos, certain chemicals, bio-hazardous waste — require specialized disposal beyond our scope. When in doubt, just ask and we'll let you know upfront.
Not always. If items are accessible from a garage, backyard, or outside, we can often pick them up without you present. We'll confirm access details with you when booking.
